My OP Minion System in the Apocalypse

Chapter 259 The Path To Victory

I had come up with a strategic plan, but I was uncertain about its success. To increase our chances against the enemy, I needed to create a larger army of warriors. While I had already increased the number of resource collection minions, it wasn\'t enough to sustain a proper battle effort. I required more resources, such as stones and wood, to build soldiers and then enhance their fighting abilities.

To gather these resources, I devised a plan to create more resource collection minions. I instructed the minion manager to produce 100 miners, 100 farmers, 100 woodcutters, and 100 hunters, who would work tirelessly to gather the necessary materials. As I watched the minions begin their work, I was filled with a sense of hope. It would take time, but soon, we would have a constant influx of resources.

Realizing that the citizens of Howard City could use the resources more than I could, I sent the farming and hunting minions to the city. The citizens were going to be creating weapons and utilizing the resources, so it was imperative that they had a constant supply of resources.

After the resource collection minions were established, I moved on to creating combat minions. I recognized that to create the brute force minions, I needed a significant number of warrior minions. I issued an order for the minion manager to create 2,500 warrior minions, a task that would require the most effort yet. With this new addition to our army, I felt confident that we would have a formidable force to defend against any enemy.

As the days passed, the resource collection minions worked tirelessly, bringing in the resources needed to sustain our army. And when the 2,500 warrior minions were finally created, I felt a sense of pride and satisfaction. The sight of our large and formidable army filled me with a newfound confidence, and I knew that we were ready to face any challenge that lay ahead.

I was seated at the battleground, surrounded by a deep stillness that was only disturbed by the occasional rustling of leaves and the distant calls of nocturnal creatures. My thoughts were consumed by the fear of the unknown, as I awaited news from the field, bracing myself for the worst. My eyes were trained on the horizon, scanning the darkness for any signs of danger. I was acutely aware of my surroundings, every muscle in my body tense, ready to react at a moment\'s notice.

I had a formidable army of 213 builder minions at my disposal, all of whom I had summoned from the surrounding settlements. I had made the difficult decision to recall all of them, excluding the combat minions, to this location, knowing that if the enemy were to attack, the settlements would be vulnerable, and I couldn\'t bear the thought of them dying in vain.

I knew that I had to fortify Howard City, my last line of defense, and I immediately set 100 of my builder minions to work. I selected them from the advanced control menu and watched as they headed towards their destination. I had created a comprehensive map of the city, plotting out the most advantageous positions for my defenses, but I hesitated to give the order to start construction, unsure if I would need to abandon the castle or not.

The design I created for the city\'s defenses was unlike any I had seen before. It was bold and daring, and I was filled with a sense of excitement and trepidation, wondering how it would fare in battle. I had spent countless hours perfecting the design, but I knew all too well that sometimes, things that look good on paper don\'t translate well in reality.

I was pleased to see that my 2500 warrior minions were at the ready, standing in formation before me. It was pitch black now, and I could barely see my own hand in front of my face, but I refused to stop working. I was so consumed by my mission that I had forgotten to eat, and I was starting to feel the pangs of hunger, but I pushed them aside, knowing that there was no time to waste.

I placed 2000 of my warrior minions in brute force training, honing their skills and preparing them for battle. Another 500 were placed in technique variant training, honing their abilities to adapt to changing circumstances. I had checked on the second stage of both the brute force and intelligence variants, but I had not yet had the chance to inspect the second stage of technique variants. I knew that I needed to do so, and I placed the 55 available technique variants in stage 2 training, hoping that they would be ready in time.

However, I soon realized that the training would take much longer than I had anticipated. I was exhausted and famished, and all I could think about was getting some rest and nourishment. But I hesitated, knowing that I couldn\'t afford to let my guard down, not when I was so close to achieving my goal. I was torn, knowing that I needed more warrior minions, but there were not enough resources to create them all at once. It was a difficult decision, but I knew that I needed to prioritize, and I steeled myself for what was to come.

So, I left the training grounds for the warrior minions and returned home. Dinner was ready on the table, and I sat down to eat. Despite the difficult times ahead, I was determined to overcome them and emerge stronger. The minion manager came to clear the dishes, and I asked him to wake me up if there was any news of the enemy. I tried to sleep but my mind was restless, consumed by thoughts of the enemy. Eventually, I drifted off. The next morning, I woke up to the sun slowly rising in the east. I stepped outside, watching the sky brighten as the sun emerged from its shade. I had always loved watching this view, ever since I was back at home. It made me feel in control.
