The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 328

He leaned his head back and said, “When I walk out I am going to get attacked... I won’t die but it will hurt.”

Tala raised her head and glanced at him before saying, “I will play my part well.”

Prime minister Ju smiled slightly before saying, “That’s all I ask. Soon I will be the only prime minister in the federation and you will get everything you have always wanted.”

Tala smiled gracefully as she lowered her head continuing with her magazine. “Just don’t overdo it,” she said to him in a soft tone.

Prime minister Ju stood up and walked over to her his entire body clad in white. He stood behind her with his hands resting on the backrest of her chair.

“I hope mother won’t go back on her word when I finally achieve our goal,” he whispered before kissing her cheek.

Tala smiled gleefully with so much pride in her eyes watching her son leave. Oh, how she wished her ex-husband would have seen this. She bet that he would regret ever not accepting her son. He was much more useful than that little brat who did nothing else but cry all day crying for his dead mother and a sister who never existed. Her son outsmarted that brat and he died from her son’s devious plotting.

As soon as he left through the main door, Tala took out a crystal bottle from her storage and read the label attached to it. It was meant to bring tears to one’s eyes but she had to take it two hours before.

.....

She got up and walked over to her bedroom. The bedding had already been changed by the housekeeping robot. The room was so clean that one couldn’t even imagine that two strangers had been doing the unthinkable in this room earlier.

She gently flung her gown back and sat down in front of her dresser. She admiringly gazed at her still graceful figure and plump skin her eyes beaming.

She squeezed the lid of the crystal bottle sucking up some of the liquid before taking out the glass dropper. She tilted her head back and pulled her lower eyelid before dropping a few drops in her eye. After she was done she lowered her head and smiled like a nefarious villainess character.

Two hours later the prime minister of Loch Ness star’s convoy was attacked after he left his mother’s home. His motorcade was attacked by a group of armed gunmen. When the security personnel stepped in to protect him something went wrong and the prime minister’s hovercar overturned several times before crashing into a high rise building.

News about it was all over Onyx Federation. For some reason, live footage of the attack was broadcasted live on StarNet just like two decades ago when their prince died. StarNet erupted with citizens expressing their opinions which varied extensively. Plenty were sending sympathetic comments and requesting an urgent update but soon the storm veered towards rage and anger.

That’s because they witnessed the prime minister’s mother rushing over to the scene of the accident and calling out her son’s name in tears. While she cried herself half to death she casually asked why the army didn’t protect her son.

Since there wasn’t any communication between the outside world and Loch Ness star they couldn’t express their concern. They could only haul insults at the Marshal and his cronies.

Calls to remove the Marshal caught flames and the fire spread rapidly. That’s because someone was cleverly fanning the flames to ruin Marshal Yi. Who wouldn’t more especially when prime ministers were dropping like flies?

Meanwhile, Zi Han and Yi Chen were covered under a mountain of snow after an avalanche caused by the explosion. When it happened they were trying to fly out of the zone with the transmission disruption device well that is until they discovered the radius was expanding extensively.

Before they could even make sense of what was happening a large explosion came from the west sweeping through the entire northern hemisphere causing extensive tremors ten times like that of a ten point one magnitude earthquake.

Zi Han feared that the explosion might ignite a series of detonations across the snowy mountains and tear the galaxy apart thus he took Yi Chen into Igneous.

Igneous like the other of the three calamities was built to withstand large explosions such as these. The two of them huddled in Igneous’ cockpit but the expected explosions didn’t happen. Instead, an avalanche followed and they were buried in the snow.

The temperature had dropped significantly and if it was Raylan they were in they would have been filling the chill by now. Because it was Igneous they felt nothing as the snow buried them deep.

During the avalanche, Igneous had been hovering above the ground but the force of the explosion flung them five kilometers east before they crashed onto the ground. Before Igneous could get up a large mass of snow tumbled down the mountains and buried them.

Yi Chen glanced over at Zi Han as they sat up and asked, “Are you okay?”

Zi Han who was lying flat on the ground with his limbs sprawled laughed seeming a little shaken. While he was laughing Yi Chen pulled up his jacket at the hem and saw a nasty bruise on his lower back.

Because he had pulled on it harshly he drew in a sharp breath of cold air. Zi Han’s laughter died down as he glanced over at Yi Chen.

“What’s wrong?” asked Zi Han as he got up and walked over to him.

Zi Han knelt next to him and checked his wound. His face turned gloomy as he stared at that painful bruise.

He remembered that Yi Chen wrapped his arms around to protect his shoulder that was about to hit the pilot console. He might have been able to protect him but in return, Yi Chen suffered an extensive blow to his lower back.

“Tsk, you do realize I am not that fragile. Each time you sacrifice yourself for me I hurt,” said Zi Han with the tip of his finger hesitating to touch the bruise.

Yi Chen grasped his wrist and the two locked eyes for a second. Zi Han’s heart sped up as he stared into Yi Chen’s eyes. He suddenly felt nervous.
