The Blue Eyes

Chapter 203 - [JACK-CASPER EXTRA 3] DATE

The third time they met was on a date.

Jack must be out of mind when he voiced the condition to Casper a few days ago. It was only for a cup of drink, but he shamelessly required a date before he was willing to lend his money to the innocent soldier.

Casper was actually not that innocent as he could sense Jack\'s hidden motive, but he still agreed with the condition nonetheless. The cashier had been waiting for his money while tapping his long fingers on the cash machine, and his face looked bored as ever.

That was why Jack finally handed the money to Casper, and the young soldier finally was able to pay his drink, as well as be able to save his face.

Jack thought that they would go on a date right away, but to his dismay, Casper said that he needed to go back to his base and offered him another day for them to \'date.\'

Jack had no other option and just nodded his head.

And when the day came, he was beyond perplexed. Were they really going on a date? Like, a real date?

Jack had never been on a date before, and what he blurted in front of Casper before was just a random idea.

What was he supposed to wear when he was going on a date? What was he supposed to do?

Jack was beyond clueless, and the arrangement for their \'date\' was decided by Casper in the end. The soldier asked him to come to the coffee shop where they accidentally met, and Jack could only comply with the wish.

Jack didn\'t know what kind of clothes he should wear for a date, and he decided to wear a casual outfit today. There was a reason behind his choice of the outfit, and that was because he didn\'t want Blue to be suspicious of him.

Jack didn\'t even tell the blue-eyed girl about his plan today, and he only said to the girl that he wanted to go outside. Blue didn\'t question him further and just said that Kris would visit the orphanage today, so he could go outside as he wished.

Jack just huffed when he heard the girl\'s cold response. She and Kris probably would just gossip around when they were in the orphanage, so it was best if he just left the crazy uncle-niece pair today.

Jack hailed a cab to the coffee shop, and when he got there, Casper was already waiting for him on one of the tables in the coffee shop. There was even a cup of drink in front of him.

A typical soldier who was always punctual.

He could see Casper wave his hand at him, but he just smirked at the man before heading to the counter. He ordered an iced americano before walking toward the young soldier.

"It\'s not me who came late, but it\'s you who arrived too soon," Jack stated arrogantly as he sat down opposite Casper. "I can see that you are so eager to meet me today."

Jack sounded so confident when in fact, he was the one who was so eager to meet the young soldier today.

Jack was arrogant, but Casper just took it lightly. "I just want to pay my debt soon. Meeting you today is just like a bonus, I think," said the young soldier while grinning broadly.

Jack raised his brows, and at that moment, he could hear his name being called by the shop employee. He was about to get up from the seat, but Casper\'s voice held his movement.

"Let me grab the coffee for you, and I will also pay for you. That way, we become even, right?"

Casper looked so cheerful as he got up, and Jack could only shake his head. "Just do as you wish," he said.

Hearing the confirmation, Casper immediately headed to the counter to grab Jack\'s order. Jack was left on the table, and he frowned when he saw the beverage that seemed to be Casper\'s.

"He\'s in a coffee shop, but he ordered milk? Is there even milk on the menu?" He couldn\'t help but murmur when he confirmed that it was indeed milk inside the cup.

Before he could question any further, Casper had come back with a cup of coffee in his right hand. He sat opposite him and placed the cup in front of him.

"You ordered americano. Is your life not bitter enough?" Casper questioned him in a teasing tone.

Jack didn\'t immediately answer the soldier\'s question as he took a sip on his drink.

"I ordered americano because I\'m a real man. Unlike someone who ordered milk despite being in a coffee shop."

The cup of americano had been placed on the table again, and Jack stared at the soldier with his sharp gaze. The said soldier widened his eyes upon hearing the mock.

"I ordered milk because milk is healthy!"

"But you can always buy milk in the convenience store or something, not in a coffee shop like this!"

"I used my own money to buy the milk, so why do you want to complain?"

"You used my money to buy the milk before. Don\'t you remember?"

"You!"

"..."

"..."

And both of them laughed after having a stupid bicker. That was indeed foolish and childish, and the two men immediately burst into laughter after they were silent for a few seconds.

"You are the most interesting person I\'ve ever met, Cas," Jack spoke while resting his chin on his palm.

"Huh? It\'s only our third meeting, but you decided to call me that way?"

One of Jack\'s brows raised upon hearing the soldier\'s question. "Why? You don\'t want me to call you that way?"

Casper\'s hazel eyes bulged when he heard the question. "It\'s not like that, Jack," he replied. "You can do whatever you want."

Casper looked guilty, but Jack wanted to tease him more. He leaned forward before whispering, "What if I want to have another date with you? Will you say yes?"
