Ruby knew that Madeleine was purposely creating another opportunity for her to spend time alone with Steve, so Mr. Robbins, who was watching from afar, would assume that she and Steve had a deep relationship.

She stealthily glanced at Mr. Robbins in the distance and confirmed that the man was indeed staring at her and Steve, as she had expected.

In her heart, Ruby thought that she could not just sit with Steve without talking to him.
