The Herb King

Chapter 392: Allegiance

Kazak was still skeptical about his claim earlier, but after seeing the intense power of his pill fire, his suspicions were extinguished. In his long life, he had seen numerous alchemists, but he had never seen such terrifying pill fire. Just its heat alone almost burned the surroundings.

If it weren\'t for Aethelwolf\'s command on the pill fire, everything around them would have already been incinerated.

After a moment of thinking, Kazak took a deep breath and prostrated to show his allegiance. "Kazak greets the lord."

Serena and Gargan stared at each other. They didn\'t expect the arrogant dragon to actually lower his head. In the end, with the power of Aethelwolf\'s suppression, the two Nascent Soul beasts also swore allegiance to him. "We greet the lord!"

Aethelwolf nodded in satisfaction. Now, there was only one left who had yet to swear allegiance to him.

He turned his gaze to Argent who was still unconscious. With a lift of his hand, he infused a stream of energy and sent it to the unconscious man, forcefully waking him up.

"Huh? What happened to me?" Argent grabbed his head. When his dizziness subsided, he looked around and saw Kazak and the other two kneeling before the human expert. "You guys, what are you doing?! How dare you call yourselves the ruler of the savage beasts?!" He shouted furiously while pointing at them.

Aethelwolf frowned. \'This guy is too noisy. Should I just kill him?\' This thought momentarily appeared in his mind.

Just as he was about to make a move, Kazak suddenly appeared in front of Argent and slapped him hard. The latter was sent flying into the air and crushed into a large boulder.

"How insolent! This person can help us advance to the next realm. If you still have some intelligence in that pea-sized brain of yours, kneel to the lord and swear allegiance to him!" Kazak shouted as he hovered above Argent.

"Argh!" Argent slowly lifted his body. \'This damned bastard! He almost broke my skull!\'

He wanted to attack Kazak at this moment, but his instinct was warning him not to do anything foolish.

\'For the arrogant Kazak to bow down to this human, there could only be one reason. That human is too powerful.\'

Argent looked at Aethelwolf. "Human, is what he\'s saying true? Do you really have the ability to help us advance to the next realm?"

Hearing his words, Aethelwolf nodded his head. "I can help you, but only if you work for me."

Argent frowned. "How can you prove that?"

"Stop asking stupid questions and just bow your head! This man is an alchemist and his pill fire is the most terrifying one we\'ve seen! With his strength, he could easily trample us!" Kazak sent him a mental transmission.

Before Aethelwolf could respond, Argent dropped to the ground and said. "Argent greets the lord!"

\'Hm?\' Aethelwolf was confused. This guy was full of suspicions toward him, but he suddenly surrendered. \'Did someone send him a mental transmission? That seems to be the case.\'

"Good! Now that you guys have surrendered to me, tell your subordinates to retreat. Once everything has settled down, I will head to the Great Forest and create a holy land for the savage beasts!" Aethelwolf\'s words stunned them.

They were filled with curiosity, but no one dared to ask.

"Yes, my lord!"

"My name is Aethelwolf Lassiter. Look for me in Northern Trance after you deal with your matters. If you don\'t come within a month, I will search for you even if you escape to the ends of the world!" Aethelwolf subtly released his overwhelming aura, scaring them into submission.

"After we deal with the aftermath, we will look for you, my lord!" Kazak muttered with a face full of sweat.

"Alright. You may leave." Aethelwolf impatiently waved his hand.

Seeing this, Kazak and the others knew that this was their cue to leave.

"We will take our leave now, my lord!"

"What\'s happening? Why are the savage beasts retreating?" Kenneth furrowed his eyebrows in surprise.

Standing beside him was Charles Featherkind. He narrowed his eyes and focused on the retreating figures. He sensed that the auras of the Nascent Soul savage beasts had disappeared. "Is this his doing?!" He muttered in disbelief.

There was only one person who attacked the four leaders of the savage beasts.

"What do you mean?" Kenneth stared at him with a frown.

Charles shook his head. "I\'m still not sure, but I think this is Sir Aethelwolf\'s doing."

"How is that possible?! He just arrived not too long ago!" Kenneth couldn\'t believe it. The strength displayed by the Nascent Soul savage beasts was so overwhelming. He even thought that they were stronger than their patriarch. If what Charles said was true, then that means Aethelwolf\'s power had already exceeded the patriarch!

With the retreat of the savage beasts, the battle came to an end.

"Bring the wounded back to be treated!"

"Gather the corpses of our fallen comrades!"

At this moment, Aethelwolf suddenly descended from above.

His appearance immediately attracted everyone\'s attention.

"Lord Aethelwolf!" William and his subordinates bowed as they greeted him.

"You guys did great. Once we return to the manor, you will be rewarded." Aethelwolf patted William\'s shoulder.

"Thank you, my lord!"

While they were chatting, the crowd suddenly parted and revealed the presence of two people. Their armors were covered in blood and cracks, but this only made them look more valiant.

"Lord Aethelwolf!" The two cupped their fists respectfully.

"This is not the right place to talk. Let\'s head to somewhere more private."

"Yes, sir!"
