The Strongest Conquest System

Chapter 265: Please Board The Swan Serenity!

The time for the departure of the \'ship\' heading to the second step had come.

Azmond, Boundless, and Emu (in katana form) made their way over to a two thousand-meter-tall watchtowera watchtower that overlooked the north side of the city, which just so happened to be the side that was closest to the \'wall\' that separated the first step from the second step.

And as they approached the watchtower\'s entrance, a booming voice reverberated out:

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, who have come to catch a ride to the second step in the Luminous Grounds of the Nightmare Council!!"

The source of such a voice was a Lionkin who stood in front of the swankin that they had met earlier. The two of them stood in the interior space at the top of the watchtower, looking down at the thousands of people that should be lined up for the \'transportation to the second step\'.

The boisterous voice of the lionkin resumed, "The ship will be here any minute, and as soon as the customers coming down from the higher floors get off the ship, we can begin boarding all of you!"

Such information led to a few discussions happening within the crowd below.

"Did he say \'customers coming down from the higher floors\'? Why would people want to come down from a higher floor??" A zebra-kin questioned.

"Don\'t you know??" A giraffe-kin asked.

"Know what?"

"Even some of the Nine Monster Emperor\'s had come down from the twentieth step a few times!"

"Really!?"

The zebra-kin couldn\'t believe that the strongest monsters in the Luminous Grounds would really come down from their lavish lifestyles on the twentieth step.

After all, the way you lived in the Luminous Grounds all depended on which floor or step you resided on. The monsters on the higher floors naturally lived far better and more accommodating lives than the monsters on the lower floors.

The monsters on the higher floors also had fewer chances of being drafted toward the ongoing invasions against humanity. Which led to everyone assuming that once one had made it to a higher floor, they would never want to leave!

But, apparently, not every monster liked the mundane and routine lifestyles of the highest floors.

To cure the boredom that was born from the mundane, some of the Low-Rank and High-Rank Monster Kings would come down from the 11th20th floors to have \'a little fun\' in the human world.

Nevertheless, let\'s get back to Azmond and gang...

...

Azmond, Boundless, and Emu waited below the watchtower as they listened to the prolonged speech made by the lionkin.

That was until

WHIZZ!

An enormous swan-shaped ship over three thousand meters in size came speeding down from the heavens above as it landed in front of the groups of people who were prepared to board.

Pshhh

The doors to the giant swan ship opened up with what sounded like the release of an enclosed airspace. Such a sound was followed by an escalator-type staircase extending out of one of the entrances to the ship.

*Pitter patter* *Pitter patter*

Footsteps of varying degrees echoed outward as thousands of monsters in humanoid form exited the ship.

"So this is what it looks like on the first floor? It seems so dreary and impecunious!"

"I know! Isn\'t it so surreal!? I can\'t wait to tell my family on the seventh floor about such a place!"

"Have you heard"

The incessant chatter of the monsterkin walking down the escalator reached the ears of Azmond, Boundless, and Emu.

|These people really act all high and mighty| Boundless grumbled.

She didn\'t like such stuck-up people! It even felt like they were looking down on her when they made comments about the first floor!

The fact that they could neither see her nor that they weren\'t actually residents of the first floordidn\'t even enter her mind, as she took everything these \'tourists\' said personally!

"They have probably lived far different lives than the people down here, so you can\'t really blame them for becoming a little bit amazed. It must be something like immortals coming down to the mortal realm," Azmond elaborated with an interested look on his face.

\'The higher floors must really be something if all these people wear expressions like that.\'

He observed the countenances of all the monster kin around him, and he couldn\'t help but compare their astonishment to that of humans viewing monkeys and their habitats at a zoo.

"Mhmu!" Emu wiggled a little in katana form.

It wanted to eat all the monster kin that came off the swan ship!

"I know, little buddy. But we must be patient for now," Azmond began with a few petting sessions.

"We will be able to eat up all these bastards as soon as our strength is sufficient. Just give it time," he ended with a slightly cruel grin.

His Discerning Quantum Eye had already observed and jotted down the statuses of all the monsters he saw.

The number of monsters Azmond had determined the fate of had already breached the tens of thousands. And such a number was growing exponentially with each passing day!

It was only a matter of time before he came back to collect his due...

However, such a hunting fest would have to wait until Azmond broke through to the Quantum Nascent Soul Realm.

He had asked Boundless for a tracking feature or something similar, but she said he would unlock a similar feature once he had broken through to the Quantum Nascent Soul Realm.

Nonetheless, it just gave Azmond yet another reason to hurry his breakthrough into the Quantum Nascent Soul Realm.

"Everybody, please go ahead and board the Swan Serenity! If you have any second thoughts, then feel free to head on over to manager Swanson!"

The Lionkins voice boomed out once more before he gestured to the swankin that Azmond had talked to earlier.

"..." "..." "..."

However, in spite of such an announcement, not a single person wanted to back out.

After all, the amount of gold and spiritual stones they burned through to buy the tickets necessary to ride the Swan Serenity was no joke!
