The Divine Wolf... or?

Chapter 194: A damsel... no longer in distress.

"I\'m not dreaming right?" One of the girls couldn\'t help but ask, and reached out to pinch the man in the party.

"Ow, don\'t pinch me, if you\'re gonna pinch someone then pinch yourself man."

The girl that was injured on the ground quickly looked around, trying to see if she could spot anyone around. With no one else in sight, the girl was a bit confused, did they not want to show themselves? As she was looking around, the numerous magic arrows landed on the undead that had encircled them one after the other. A single magic arrow didn\'t do much harm, but hundreds of them?

That was an entirely different story altogether.

The scene looked like absolute carnage, almost as if a mad god had descended to smite down these undead. Although most of the undead had no chance to survive such an attack, there was still one undead that made it through. Although a single undead was basically nothing to three adventurers, this one was a little different. The undead standing right in front of them was a Dullahan.

With a broadsword in one hand and his head in the other, the dullahan clad in black armour looked at the three adventurers menacingly. This undead was a little too much for them to currently handle, even though there were two of them that could still fight. The dullahan didn\'t want to waste any time, and almost immediately brought up its broadsword.

Before the sword was brought down, a streak of light shot out straight for the dullahan\'s head.

Since its biggest weakness was being targeted, the dullahan quickly turned around and tried to deflect the attack with the broadsword. Although the streak of light hit the broadsword, the dullahan was taken aback by the force of the attack and was sent flying through the air. In the distance, the three adventurers could see a young woman standing silently with a white bow in her hands.

She just stood there quietly, watching the dullahan flying through the air, as if it was completely unrelated to her. To the three adventurers, she looked like an ethereal fairy that had descended to save their lives. Ephine didn\'t look at them, she just silently drew the bowstring again before almost immediately releasing it. A green light streaked out, once more heading for the dullahan\'s head.

Before the arrow could arrive at the dullahan\'s location, Ephine had already released another 5 arrows, and it seemed like she had no plans on stopping as she kept drawing the bowstring and then quickly releasing it. Whilst she was calm and collected, the same could not be said for the dullahan.

Currently, it had to do all it could just to deflect all these arrows that were flying at it, and it wasn\'t going too well.

It could deflect most of them, but it was still repeatedly hit by the magic arrows in different places, slowly but surely wearing it out. Two of the magic arrows even hit the dullahan in the kneecaps, immobilising the creature completely, now it could just deflect, without trying to run or dodge at all.

Ephine seemed to have predicted this, as she was currently charging up a massive amount of mana on her bowstring. Unlike the other arrows, this one wasn\'t released quickly, and the purpose wasn\'t to be fast, but incredibly powerful.

The arrow\'s only purpose was to be destructive, and which element was more suitable than the fire element for such a task? The flaming arrow was released, and the three adventurers looked on in awe as it made its way toward the dullahan. The dullahan himself was feeling miserable, as he could only watch on as a giant mass of flames was heading his way, intent on wiping him out.

Although it couldn\'t move, that didn\'t mean there was nothing it could do, as it used one of its only and most powerful skills.

Swinging the broadsword, space seemed to tear as purple mana undulated from it. The clash between the two moves was a bit peculiar, as the sound of the blast seemed to disappear into the void. Although it was severely injured, the dullahan managed to barely survive the situation.

As it was still happy about surviving, it didn\'t notice that another arrow had already arrived, landing right between the dullahan\'s eyebrows. Because the arrow was of the wind element, the dullahan couldn\'t react in time and died just like that.

Since she had killed the enemy and saved the adventurers, Ephine got ready to quietly leave, but she couldn\'t help noticing that one of them was injured. Even though she was no saint, healing an injury didn\'t take much effort or mana, and she couldn\'t just leave her like that on the ground. As she was approaching them, she suddenly jerked her head, and looked into the distance.

Seeing this, the three adventurers naturally did the same.

With a flash of light, a young man appeared seemingly out of nowhere, looking around the scene. Although they didn\'t know what was going on, the three adventurers put up their guards, in case this young man was hostile. Meanwhile, Ark was just quietly looking around the scene curiously.

Seeing the carnage, the three scared adventurers, as well as the looming cloud of mana in the sky, Ark could naturally figure out what happened here.

With a blink, he suddenly disappeared, only to reappear right in front of the adventurers. Seeing them scared for their lives and on their guard, Ark started laughing. This naturally confused them, but they didn\'t dare relax. Even if they thought that this young man didn\'t have bad intentions, they were still on their guard.

Ark thought their reaction was a little funny, but he didn\'t think much of it.

"Hahaha, relax, if I wanted to kill you, you wouldn\'t even be able to react."

Hearing this, the three adventurers were stunned. Was this supposed to calm them down? He just admitted he could easily kill them, how would they be able to calm down now? Even if his words made sense, they were still scared of him. Since they didn\'t calm down or lower their guard, Ark just ignored them and approached Ephine instead.

"Seems like I\'ve made a fool of myself this time, you ok?"

"Of course I am, you should be asking the people behind you instead."

When the adventurers saw that the two of them knew each other, they could finally relax a little. This woman was their saviour, and since she knew this man, he wouldn\'t hurt them, at least that\'s what they thought. Ark could easily see that one of the girls was injured quite gravely, but he didn\'t think too much of it.

"Well, you heard her, want some help?"
