The Divine Wolf... or?

Chapter 163: An Eerie Entrance!

As furious as they could be, the two ogres both activated their skills at the same time, and their eyes quickly became scarlet red. Their bodies shone slightly scarlet too, creating a ghastly scene. This skill was called blood berserk. It was a variation of the normal berserk, and it consumed one\'s blood to provide a tremendous amount of power.

Due to their high vitality, the ogres could use this skill without too much of a drawback, whereas most would be on the verge of death if they even tried to use it for a single minute.

With their newfound powers, the ogres quickly went on a rampage, destroying anything that crossed their path. The young lady and her twin guards struggled a little in the beginning, but they quickly managed to regain control of the battle, and without spending too much energy, they began to restrain the unruly ogre.

Unlike them, the party of four adventurers could only watch as their comrades were being torn apart in front of them. Not even 5 seconds passed after the ogre activated its skill and it had already killed every single one of them.

Just as Ark was about to take care of it, Thufrat, Ephine and Atar quickly attacked it. Though they were strong, Ark was very tense at the moment. He couldn\'t care less about his recovery, he really didn\'t want them to get hurt. Although that was how he felt, he wouldn\'t interfere unless he really needed to. This was their battle, and he wasn\'t going to ruin their fight by doing something unnecessary.

With his glowing golden eyes, even the ogre felt a little uneasy when he stared at it, but it was too mad to think rationally at this point. Since he didn\'t want to interfere with their battle, Ark decided to help the young lady and her guards out a little.

He didn\'t use any of his mana though, all he did was fully release his aura and bloodlust, which was enough for even the dull ogre to be restrained. Its bloodline couldn\'t be compared to someone like Ark, and neither could its strength for that matter.

Even though they already had the battle under control, Ark\'s help was much appreciated, and they finished up their battle fairly quickly. When they were finished, they naturally went to help out Atar, Thufrat and Ephine, but to their surprise, the battle seemed to be under their control.

This ogre was a lot more powerful compared to its younger brother, especially considering it had activated its skill, but even then, they were still able to handle it.

Though that was the case, it wasn\'t without any injuries. Since that ogre attacked ferociously even when it was injured, Thufrat had to suffer a few injuries here and there when it retaliated. But in comparison to the ogre, he was in good shape.

The ogre had battled with all the power it could, yet it could barely injure Thufrat when he had his earth armour activated, and even then, it had to suffer numerous injuries the few times it did.

Since they had it under control, the young lady and her guards didn\'t interfere with their battle, and neither did Ark, there was no need for him to do so. The fight soon ended, and Thufrat, Atar and Ephine reaped the benefits, not only did they get battle experience, but they also gained levels.

The battle was far from over though, and no matter how much Ark had done with his white flames, there were plenty of mobs left.

Like this, a purge soon began, with the young lady and her guards at the helm. Not even Ark stayed back, as his physical strength was enough to take care of some goblins while his mana regenerated.

The crazy battle cries and wails of dying goblins filled the large settlement, making the entire scene look like something that came straight out of hell, considering the white flames that engulfed their surroundings.

While they were in the middle of slaughtering their opponents, a terrifying pressure soon descended upon them. This pressure was unlike any they had ever felt before, and most of the adventurers knelt down in pain, and even coughed up blood.

Though it was unexpected, three of the weakest adventurers could feel their consciousness slip away from them and immediately passed away from the terrifying pressure.

The young lady acted quickly and spread out her mana into a large dome, which all adventurers fled to in order to survive. Ark didn\'t need her protection, but as he could see a small crack in the dome she created, he decided that it would be for the best if he helped her out a little, he didn\'t want to let all these people die after all.

The young lady could naturally feel her barrier beginning to break, but she couldn\'t just pour more mana into it, as it was also a matter of quality.

Even if she sent all her mana in the barrier, if the opponent\'s mana was of high enough quality, then it would still come crumbling down in a heartbeat. Ark wouldn\'t let that happen though, and he released some of his ice mana into the large dome.

Even though it was mostly there to reinforce it, his ice mana instantly elevated the quality of the barrier, making it withstand the enormous amount of pressure it was under.

The cracks in the dome quickly mended themselves, and the young lady let out a sigh of relief. This young man was truly their saviour in this time of need, even if he had done it to help himself or those he cared about, he had still helped them nonetheless, and she would surely reward him if they made it out of this alive.

After their long battle with the monsters of the dungeon, most adventurers present were exhausted, and Ark was not that different. He had recovered most of his mana by now, but he had worn out his body in the process.

As they were all standing within the barrier, wondering what creature was creating such pressure, a weird laugh echoed throughout the cave. "Kukukukuku…"

As Ark heard the laugh, he rolled his eyes, couldn\'t some villain create an original laugh for once? It felt like he had heard this particular laugh at least a dozen times before. Unlike Ark, the rest of the adventurers were not as calm. Not far away from them, the pressure swirled violently like a whirlpool, and a silhouette could be discerned if one looked carefully.

The stature looked like that of a human, but the weird part was that the silhouette seemed to be walking on empty air, as if it was flying toward them.
