Fortunate to Have You This Lifetime

Chapter 131 - 131: Accumulate Good Deeds

Alexander Summers didn’t go over immediately.

He laughed for a while, enjoying himself before heading leisurely to the kitchen.

Soon, Alexander returned carrying a thawed dead rabbit, picked up Purple in one hand and threw the rabbit into the glass box with the other.

Purple only felt her body suddenly airborne and then gently landing on the couch.

She couldn’t help but think: He’s so strong.

“I’ve told you before, you need to feed it once a month. You’ve been slacking, haven’t you?” Alexander pinched her nose and teased her.

Purple thought he was being unreasonable, “Your snake escaped, and you blame me?!”

“It’s our snake,” Alexander corrected her.

Purple didn’t want to argue with him, clutching the little crow and speaking seriously, “It wanted to eat the little crow. The feeding box isn’t secure enough. You need to figure out a solution, or else we’ll be on edge every day.”

Alexander dismissed her concerns, saying, “It was just hungry. It hasn’t eaten for a long time, and nobody took it out for a walk or gave it a bath. If it were you, could you bear it?”

Purple’s face flushed, as Alexander’s words seemed to accuse her of animal cruelty.

However… she didn’t have any affection for Cleo, the snake. Fear would suffice; there was no room for love.

Purple turned to look at the glass box; Cleo had stopped trying to escape and was slowly swallowing the dead rabbit…

Such a large rabbit filled the snake’s mouth almost to the brim, bit by bit, swallowed in.

The sight of the snake feeding was brutal. Even though Purple knew the rabbit was already dead, she still couldn’t bear to watch.

Alexander then thawed another rabbit and three chickens.

Cleo ate them all.

With its belly bloated, Purple watched with alarm, “It eats so much!”

“Well, there was a long interval between meals,” Alexander said indifferently. “You could feed it less, but when Cleo gets too hungry, it’ll come out looking for food.”

Purple felt a chill in her heart and decided it was better to feed it more, make sure it was full!

Alexander found her alternating pale and green face amusing, and pulled her onto his lap. “You didn’t react much last time, I thought you’d gotten used to it. Are you still so scared?”

Last time, she had been forced to walk the snake, give it a bath and apply medicine… she had eventually grown numb to it.

But this time was different.

Back then, Alexander had been by her side, but today, she was all alone!

Could anyone not be afraid when facing a giant python, especially a hungry one?!

Purple pursed her lips and remained silent.

Such a response made her seem like she couldn’t do without him. Purple didn’t want Alexander to get the wrong impression.

Nor did she want to give him any satisfaction.

She struggled to get off his lap, but he held her tightly.

“Let go of me,” Purple tried to pry his arm off her. “My mom could come back at any time.”

Alexander remained silent but finally released her.

Purple immediately put distance between them.

Alexander sighed softly, his tone tinged with a hint of melancholy, “It would be nice if we could make our relationship public.”

He truly wanted to mark her from head to toe as his own.

Purple said, “Alexander, you’d better accumulate some virtue! I’m only sixteen; people will find out not only about our premature love but also the incest between my brother and me. Do you want me to be drowned in spit whenever I step outside?!”

“Don’t talk nonsense.” Alexander’s face turned slightly cold, as he disliked Purple describing their relationship in such an unpalatable way.

“Some things don’t cease to exist just because we don’t talk about them.. I have to study and make friends; I want a normal life!” Purple fretfully pulled at her hair, “Alexander, you’re making my life abnormal!”
