Chapter 126: More System Users...
The two original olden system users swiveled their faces toward a man who had been transported to this world a few thousand years ago, as they replied, "As you know, some system users possess the ability to stay in Prometheus even after reaching the Lunar Ascendancy Realm.
And with this unique quirk that some of us main characters have that the NPC\'s don\'t, there are some, like myself, who have been alive for hundreds of thousands of years, staying behind on this plane of existence as something akin to an Overlord at the cost of a lacking ascension.
What I\'m trying to get at is the fact that some of us were not good with sitting still over the years, and with any further ascension barred off from us after we made our choices eons ago, a number of the Hero Association\'s older members have long since lost their sanity and have been known to hunt our own."
"So, you\'re saying that was another system user-!?" The newbie tried to get out his exclamation, but he was interrupted by the archaic old man:
"No, what I\'m attempting to convey to you is that none of these are signs of another system user killing one of our own."
"But, how could that be!? There\'s no way that an NPC could possibly compete with a Main Character!"
The newbie couldn\'t understand how it was possible for an NPC to kill one of the MC\'s, and he would be left in the dark for quite a while, as the old system user stopped speaking for a moment.
After a second of silence among hundreds of system users, the old man let out an aged sigh before muttering, "Normally, you would be correct, as all of us possess inherently overpowered plot armor after transmigrating or reincarnating from Earth\'s various time periods; however, in the case of this particular NPC, he seems to be capable of bypassing all our cheats, effectively causing our plot armor to betray us."
"Such a thing is really possible!?"
The Newbies shout brought everyone\'s focus to the two of them, as they were able to glean the gist of the situation.
And it was such a realization that left even the other veteran system users of the Comet\'s Passage Realm in a state of shock.
"I know how hard it is for you all to believe this, but it is the only possible explanation for why a system user died without remnant system traces being left in the area where he passed away.
This is the truth of the reality we find ourselves in, and although we don\'t know if this is just a bug in the system or something larger than us all, we must be prepared to face permanent death that doesn\'t come from other system user\'s or main canon events."
The informative words of the strongest and wisest of them all put every single system user into a deep state of contemplation as they pondered their situation.
None of them wanted to die. After all, they were the Main Characters, but they also couldn\'t simply leave the \'bug\' to his own devices.
Following a few seconds of deep thought, the system users knew what they had to do as they clenched their fists until whites could be seen and said in unison, "We\'ll do it."
"...Very well, then we\'ll head deeper into this place in the boondocks—a place that the savages here call the \'Northern Spirit Continent\'."
The oldest of the system users gave his order as he and all of the other Main Characters vanished from their spots.

Meanwhile, on a high-stretching cliff that seemed to touch the heavens, a multitude of women, men, humans, monsterkin, beastkin, elves, and various other races were gathered around a lavish ceremony that had exceptionally placed white and gold tapestries hanging off of dark blue-colored tents—tents that also acted like castles with their tops extended and folded into the shapes of towers.
Every single one of these towers stretched upward for billions of miles as they weaved together in the skies after a certain point, creating a colorful view that looked otherworldly.
That was especially the case when these weaving towers were clearly in the shape of an ice Phoenix that almost appeared to be alive, as it soared through the skies, occasionally releasing dazzling tendrils of energy and rare, exotic herbs and flowers from the skies above.
It was this wonderful phenomenon that left quite the ambience down at the main venue area, where there was a wide circular podium that had dark gold and blue sigils etched into every crack and crevice.
These sigils were not just for show either, as they were put there in order to welcome…
WAZAAA!
A woman who possessed beauty beyond comparison walked up the elaborately carved steps of the podium.
The sigils on the podium were etched there just for this occasion, as the moment she stood atop the last step, all of them lit up in quick succession, releasing a dazzling golden, light blue light, which swiftly had its light matter transform into miniature flying western-style dragons, all of which circled around her opulent clothing like a goddess\'s divine attire!
And that fact was further cemented when the dragons lifted up her long, light blue dress until the hem of her skirt was put at a point where those sensual thighs of hers could be glimpsed at but not delved into.
Adding that to the blue Phoenix pin she had holding her intricately done bun up and you had yourself a real-life Phoenix Queen!
"!!!" "!!!" "!!!"
Her magnificence and imperious demeanor were enough to have the trillions of cultivators sitting in the oak-tree chairs immediately fall to the ground with fervent expressions, their auras emitting nothing but utter reverence for the noble woman standing before them!
"We greet the new Queen of the Northern Spirit Continent and wish for your good health with your ascension alongside the Crimson Devil Lord!" Everyone shouted in unison, their voices boisterous and deferential.
