The Villain's Mother

Chapter 317 - Ruan Xias husband (1)

Song Tingshen and Little Wang saw that she was back to normal. Although they didn’t know what she was upset about just now, as long as she was happy again, they could stop worrying. To put it bluntly, they took their cues from Ruan Xia’s expressions.

After the holidays had passed, Song Tingshen had cleaned up the other bedroom for Little Wang to move into. He took a tough stance on having Little Wang move out of Ruan Xia’s room, and then he grandisely strode over to the master bedroom with his pillow and moved in.

Although there were times when Little Wang would come over and sleep over in the master bedroom for a night as if nothing had happened, it was still a good result for Song Tingshen. At the very least, he could sleep next to Ruan Xia every night.

Tonight, Little Wang wanted to sleep with his parents. After taking a bath, he snuck in and laid in the middle of the big bed like a young master.

Ruan Xia didn’t stop him. Having Little Wang around sometimes gave her the night off. She could sleep until dawn on those nights.

Song Tingshen came out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist. Seeing Little Wang here, he was speechless. “You slept here the day before yesterday. Song Shuyan, we agreed on only one night a week.”

Ruan Xia heard this and wanted to say to Song Tingshen, “We also agreed on only doing that twice a week...”

They had the same behavior of not keeping their word. Sure enough, they were father and son.

Little Wang had his own take on it. “I don’t remember. It’s not like I signed a contract either.”

It could already be seen that Little Wang had a mind for business. Talk was flimsy. Only a signed contract would work.

Song Tingshen sighed. “As a man, you have to take responsibility for every word you say even if you didn’t sign a contract.”

Ruan Xia was quite amused and wanted to laugh, but she had to hold back. This was a serious moment of educating their son.

Little Wang thought it over and replied, “It’s too tiring being a man. It’s much easier to be a girl.”

As a man, you had to do this and that. There were too many regulations and restrictions.

Song Tingshen scoffed, “You don’t understand yet. In this society, girls don’t necessarily have it easier than men. Their lives can be even more tiring.”

Ruan Xia agreed very much with these words and nodded. “Your dad is right. Girls don’t have it easier than men. You’re not a girl, so you can’t feel that difference.”

Little Wang sighed. “So what you’re saying is, whether it’s a man or a girl, is too tiring, then I would rather not be human.”

Song Tingshen and Ruan Xia looked at each other upon hearing their son’s logic.

“What do you want to be then?” Ruan Xia asked.

“A dog,” Little Wang said.

Song Tingshen: “...”

Little Wang shook his head. “Never mind, I don’t want to be a dog. Dogs have to be on leashes and they’re kept at home all the time. Don’t want that either.”

After thinking it over, Little Wang still thought it was best to be human. As a human, he could eat chicken wings and ice cream, watch cartoons, and sleep with his parents. “I’ll be human then. Being human is still a bit better.”
