Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 83: EX Skill

Although there wasn\'t any drool in his mouth, Xu Feng doubted it would take long for them to appear.

\'When did this Kai become such a foodie?\' He wondered silently.

From his memories, Zhao Kai was never some foodie and was quite normal regarding food. He would eat whenever he felt hungry, but it was never this excessive or loving food.

To make things worse, he was now being looked at by the NPCs as if he were some kind of animal in a zoo.

The Willowbrook Village was clearly isolated, given it was located in a separate dimension. And since they were the very first players arriving here, it would be impossible to not attract their attention.

Waving his hands and smiling amicably to greet the villagers, Xu Feng made sure to leave a good impression on them.

\'You are all my precious employers or customers in the future. How could I not make you all love me?\' He began to greet them even if some were wary of him or outright avoided him like a plague.

"Hey, Feng, stop greeting the villagers and come over here to give me some money. I\'m still broke." Zhao Kai suddenly shouted from afar, causing the villagers who were about to interact with Xu Feng to become hesitant.

\'You goddamn Kai! Do I owe you in the previous life?\' Retaining a friendly smile on the surface despite wanting to beat Zhao Kai up for ruining his deed.

"Sorry everyone, my friend just arrived here and is eager to try out the local food to enjoy." He apologized to the villagers for his friend\'s behavior and excused himself.

A few seconds later, Xu Feng caught up to Zhao Kai and resisted his urge to punch him. Instead, he flashed a smile and promptly paid for the skewers.

Once Zhao Kai got his skewers, Xu Feng grabbed him by the sleeve and dragged him away, hoping to avoid catching any more bad attention.

The attention he wanted was to let the villagers feel comfortable around them. However, thanks to Zhao Kai, the villagers were wary of them.

"Why are you such a foodie, Shadow Blade?" Xu Feng knitted his brows and asked. "I don\'t recall you ever being such a foodie."

Still munching on his meat skewers, Zhao Kai responded, "I don\'t know either, but there\'s just this intense urge I have whenever I see some delicious food or when I smell the food aroma."

"And when did this symptom occur?"

"It was right after I purchased the food from that random person— the one that told me to deliver this letter."

"Were you the first customer?" Xu Feng narrowed his eyes and questioned, seemingly suspicious of the situation.

Previously, he merely thought Zhao Kai was just trying to enjoy a new life and food, but his excessive behavior later on for food made him decide to investigate.

Meanwhile, Zhao Kai finished one of the skewers already as he closed his eyes, seemingly trying to remember the interaction.

"Hello, boss, the food smells great. You must have sold a lot today."

"Haha, I wish! Unfortunately, I haven\'t sold any. It seems people are busier than ever."

"How can that be? Here, I\'ll buy some. They smell amazing, and I\'m in a foul mood, so the food might help."

"Is that so? For 10 copper coins, the food is yours, and I\'ll throw in a special gift for being my first customer and doing me a favor."

"That\'s about it," Zhao Kai finished relaying the interaction he had with Xu Feng.

"A special gift huh…" Xu Feng muttered, having realized that Zhao Kai might have purchased something more than just food with 10 copper coins.

After all, it was unheard of for someone to blow their entire wealth at the start of the town for some food.

The beginner town was meant as a foundation for players, so the food was relatively cheap as well, with 2 copper coins lasting players a week\'s worth of ration.

\'Special gift… fond of food… stomach seemed like a blackhole…\' As Xu Feng slowly pieced the clues together, he had a horrific outcome in his mind. "Share me your skill list, Shadow Blade." He proceeded to ask, wanting to check his skills for himself.

Normally, it was rude and considered offensive to ask another player for their skill set, given a player\'s skill set should be one of their greatest secrets.

It was no exaggeration to say that wanting to see another player\'s skill set was like wanting to see them strip naked.

If others were to learn of a player\'s specific skill set, then it goes to show their advantage in combat would be greatly diminished.

Not even the rankers and pro players would divulge much of their skills aside from their known or famous skills that had been recorded and spread far.

Luckily for Xu Feng, Zhao Kai didn\'t seem to care much about such in-depth details and shared his skill set with next to zero hesitation.

With the skill set revealed, Xu Feng began scrutinizing the list, and sure enough, a few seconds later, he finally found the crux of the matter.

\'Just what is this Kai doing?\' Xu Feng cursed silently. He had assisted him earlier in building his character, so shouldn\'t he have discovered this part?

"Don\'t you know you have an EX Skill?" He sighed exhaustively and interrogated. "It\'s no wonder you became such a foodie!"

"EX Skill? What\'s that?" Confused, Zhao Kai tilted his head slightly.

"An EX Skill is an exclusive skill that bypasses the character class restriction. These types of skill could either be passive or active, and they are usually very difficult to obtain." Xu Feng facepalmed, feeling quite jealous of his luck.

How could he obtain an EX Skill for simply wanting to elevate his foul mood?

This was so unfair!!!
